Life: Unconnected

In this day and age, everyone has become increasingly more connected. It would be nice to say that it was due to barriers being broken in various types of social areas, but it is more related to the technology that has come into our lives in the past few years. While this isn’t a bad thing overall, it still has come with its share of negative impacts. The biggest thing is that we are constantly distracted by the world as it comes into our many devices, that we don’t take time to pay attention to the world that is physically around us.

Now, while I may be writing this on my laptop just north of Cuba (which I totally flipped my wig over), these first couple of days have been pretty awesome. There have been times where I stop and think about sharing with people about the experiences that I’ve been having or just hoping that the website isn’t down. With Tiffany’s help, I remind myself that this is our vacation and we just need to take a break from it all. Just sit back, with a cup in hand, and just watch the waves go by…
