Ladies and gentlemen! It brings me great pride to announce, thanks to Phoronix, that the Steam Linux Client is now open to everyone! Valve has given everyone in the Linux community one of the biggest Christmas presents ever!
According to an announcement on SteamPowered.com:
The Steam for Linux beta client is now available to all Steam users, so if you’ve been patiently waiting for an invitation to join us, consider yourself officially invited!
With a growing catalog of Linux-supported games, an active Steam for Linux community group, and a new GitHub bug reporting repository, the timing’s right to jump in and share your feedback.
With that being said, I just want you guys to still remember your family this holiday season and not get sucked into Steam. I’ll try not to.
