Took Long Enough! Facebook Releases Native Android App

Well, it seems while Google was doing something that seemed long overdue for iOS, Facebook, not to be outdone, decided it was time to scratch Android’s back by finally releasing a native application for the mobile OS.

Before, while people were singing the praises of HTML5, Facebook had created hybrid native/HTML5 apps for both iOS and Android.  Quickly, people realized that they were terrible, and Facebook set out to fix the problem.  They released the native iOS app back in August leaving Android users to wonder when it was going to be their turn.  But just like everything that seemed to happen back in the summer, Android users are now starting to see the fruits of their labor.

So, if you haven’t already updated, or if you decided to run away from Facebook for the likes of Friendcaster, check out the new and approved Facebook here.
